PE Final-Flexibilty

In order to stay fit and healthy, it is important to involve the components of health-related fitness in your daily life.

Health-related fitness is a type of physical fitness that emphasizes physical activities and exercise that will improve or help you maintain your functional health. The five components of health-related fitness are cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and body composition. My activity is about improving flexibility. Flexibility refers to the range of motion that your joints have during movement. Good functional health depends on your improving or maintaining the range of motion of your joints. My activity is a combination of different flexibility moves so students will be able to know different ways to achieve flexibility. The students will do 15 seconds of shoulder shrugs, 10 seconds of blade pulls on each arm, 10 seconds of toe touches on each foot, 10 seconds of opposite toe pulls on each leg, 25 seconds of the modified lotus. After my activity I hope that students will know different flexibility stretches.

In the summer I plan to work a lot on health-related fitness. I plan to work on my cardiovascular fitness by walking/jogging to improve my ability to work for extended periods of time. I am actually aiming to work on all of the components of health related fitness by working out, running/jogging, swimming, and more during this summer.

In conclusion, a good health and body is required to live a long life. None can be achieved without knowing the components of health-related fitness. My activity is aiming on flexibility but this summer I plan to improve all the components of health-related fitness.

Health Final

My topic for my final presentation is called "One Planet-Your Role". It is an activity that demonstrates the need to conserve resources. The process of conserving and recycling has good benefits on the wellness of mother earth.

My activity is to create a chart. The students are to divide a sheet of paper into three columns, labeled "Items I Throw Away Every Week", "Ways Of Precycling and Recycling", and "Why It Matters". There are to list five items in the first column and complete the other two columns for those items. Then they are to transfer their info on to charts and present to the class. Prerecycling is reducing waste before it is generated and it means to purchase and use products wisely. Recycling is the processing of waste materials so that they can be used again. I chose this activity because it is very important to reduce pollution and promote prerecycling and recycling for the wellness of the earth.

During the summer, for my personal health and wellness, I plan to do many things. I plan to do more community service to help the environment and improve my physical health by being active this summer. My summer plans both promote good health for earth and myself.

Letter Reflection

In my "To The Future Me" letter I stated many things. I stated that my most important mission was to graduate high school. At this moment it is still my primary mission and I know that I will accomplish. I also wrote that I have the love and trust of such an amazing person, Irving Velasquez, and I still stand by that fact. In my letter I reminded myself to not lose focus on college and that a Vetnerian is what I want to be. At this moment, I'm still focused on college and being a Vet. The statements in my letter still applies to me now, so I know that I will accomplish my goals.
